ABOUT THE ACADEMY
The Nemetan Academy teaches an emerging discipline: how to find, develop and prove Sustainability Opportunities systematically, rather than leaving them to a workshop's best guess. Sustainability reporting has spent a decade building rigour around Risk. The Opportunity side of the same picture has never had an equivalent method. Nemetan is pioneering one.
Our teaching runs in three streams that build on each other: short introductory courses for the foundations, the Certificate in Sustainability Ideation for finding Opportunities, and the Certificate in Sustainability Value Creation for testing whether they are credible enough to back. Together they take you from a first taste of the method to running it yourself.
These streams are not fixed. Nemetan's ongoing primary research into sustainability ideation and value creation continually informs what we teach, so the curriculum grows as the evidence base grows. What you learn reflects the current state of the field rather than a syllabus written once and left alone.
We are also honest about how new all of this is. Double materiality, and the expectation that companies weigh Opportunity alongside Risk and Impact, has only lately become mainstream, so the field of sustainability disclosure itself is recent. Our work in it is exploratory by its nature: built on the best current evidence and proven practice from adjacent fields, and refined openly as the discipline matures. We think that candour is a strength, not a caveat.
