For suppliers asked to disclose

Asked to report to CDP by a customer? We'll get your disclosure in and your score moving.

CDP reporting support for UK and Irish suppliers who have received a supply chain request. We build the footprint, answer the questionnaire with you and set you up to improve your CDP score next year. Fixed fee, agreed before we start.

What is a CDP supply chain request?

CDP is a non-profit disclosure system that large companies use to collect environmental data from their suppliers. When a customer that belongs to CDP Supply Chain requests your disclosure, you're invited to answer CDP's questionnaire on climate, and sometimes on water and forests. Your answers, and the share of your emissions allocated to that customer, go back to them (cdp.net).

Responding to a supply chain request carries no CDP fee. Ignoring it has a cost of its own: the customer who asked can see that you didn't disclose, and many count that against you when they review suppliers.

Which CDP questionnaire do you need to answer?

Most suppliers can use the shorter SME questionnaire. In 2026 it is open to companies with up to 1,000 employees and up to USD 250 million in revenue, unless the request came from an RE100 member. It has fewer data points and no sector questions, but it still asks for your Scope 1 and 2 emissions, an allocation of emissions to the customer who asked, and the action you're taking to cut them.

How is a CDP score worked out?

Scores run from D- to A across four stages: disclosure, awareness, management and leadership. You climb by showing targets, actions and results, much as you would for EcoVadis. A leadership score needs a public response, and a private response is capped at B. From 2026, SMEs can score A for the first time.

How we help

  1. The footprint. Scope 1 and 2 from 12 months of energy and fuel data, and a first screen of Scope 3.
  2. The allocation. A fair, written method for the share of your emissions that belongs to the customer who asked.
  3. The response. We draft every answer with you, and you submit.
  4. Next year's score. A short list of actions that will move you up a band.

The same evidence answers EcoVadis, NHS Evergreen and your Carbon Reduction Plan, so one piece of work covers most of what your customers ask. Book a 20-minute call.

What this could earn you. CDP asks where your emissions come from and what you're doing about them. Answering honestly often surfaces energy and freight costs nobody had tracked. That is where Sustainability Opportunity Discovery picks up.

Questions suppliers ask

Do we have to respond to a CDP request?

It is voluntary, but the customer who asked will see whether you responded. For a major customer, treat it as part of the relationship.

How long does a CDP response take?

With a footprint already in place, two to four weeks. From a standing start, allow six to eight, so begin as soon as the request arrives.

When are CDP scores published?

Scores for the 2026 cycle are published in the week of 30 November 2026, and the customer who requested your disclosure sees them too.

A blank response tells your customer more than a low score does. Book a call and we'll tell you which questionnaire applies and how much work stands between you and a submitted response.
